Suédois Dolin

Crafted according to tradition
Created in the 16th century by the renowned Paracelsus, this bitter digestive liqueur was believed to possess such remarkable virtues that, in 1850, a Swedish doctor officially named it “Swedish Elixir” and used it to treat a wide variety of ailments.
Later, Dolin developed its own version of this legendary tonic, seeking the perfect balance between the bitterness of gentian and the aromas of orange, camphor, and around ten different botanicals. Powerful and herbaceous, this bitter has long since transcended its “grandmother’s remedy” origins and is now featured in cocktails around the world.

Ingredients:
The science of herbalism endows liqueurs such as Swedish Elixir with properties that are not only tonic and digestive, but also—and above all—delicious. The maceration of more than a dozen plants in alcohol gives it a powerful, bitter, and herbaceous flavor, always appreciated by connoisseurs who savor it in small, indulgent glasses or even on a sugar cube after a hearty meal—or even as a remedy for some. In recent years, Dolin’s Swedish Elixir has also found new, more modern uses, incorporated into cocktails at trendy bars where it serves as an original bitter with notes of camphor and gentian.
